ADOLF HITLER''The Leader''
Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician. He was known as the leader of the Nazis. He got to be chancellor of Germany several years, he also served as a dictator. His policies precipitated World War II. The Great Depression in Germany provided Hitler a huge political opportunity. He ran for presidency, but did not achieve it. Nevertheless, the election established Hitler as a strong force in the German Politics. Hitler had a vision, a strong desire, which was to conquer Europe, or at least most of it, and he wasn't going to stop until he achieved it. |

Digging a little deeper
Hitler's parents died when he was really young, leaving him deeply affected at such a young age. When he was only 16, he dropped out of school, because he wished to become a painter. He applied to the Viennese Academy of Fine Arts, but was turned down twice. This experience made Hitler grow angry. He lived off the family inheritance they had left him, and made little money for some painting he made. At this period of his life, he appears to have developed the world view that would characterize his whole life: an extreme hatred for Jews.
Hitler was actually involved in the first World War, but as a minor role. He participated in the military and further proving he was a brave soldier. He was injured twice, and four weeks before the war was over he suffered a gas attack and was taken care of. Here is where he learned Germany's surrendered, and felt a sense of betrayal. And when he learned about the Treaty of Versailles, hatred became even bigger for him. When this war ended, Hitler started believing that he was destined to save Germany.
Time after, when he joined the political lifestyle he was arrested. During his time in prison he wrote a book titled "My Struggle", a book outlining its theories on human race, Germans, and Jews. Hitler managed to carefully rebuild the Nazi party, and little my little, gained favoritism from many citizens, mostly those who wished for a change.
Hitler radically continued to move things around Germany, meanwhile he gained more power, he locked up "enemies" in camps, bended culture to his will, rebuild the German army, and broke the constraints of the Treaty of Versailles. He later managed to conquer many countries in Europe, but this only lasted a while. When Germany wasn't at a favor in the war anymore, Hitler committed suicide in April 30, 1945. Hitler will forever be remembered as the leader to the most disastrous war in history. Although there were a lot of other leaders involved, Hitler was the chief driving force.
